This 301 card set was issued in early Spring, 2002. These cards were issued in three different ways: 10 card hobby and retail packs. These packs were issued 24 packs to a box and six boxes to a case and had an SRP of $3. This product was also issued in 25 card jumbo packs which were packaged 12 to a box and eight boxes to a case. These cards had an SRP of $6. In addition, these cards were also issued in 45-card rack packs which were issued six packs to a box and two boxes to a case. These packs had an SRP of $10 per pack. The first 250 cards were basic cards while cards 251 through 260 are a Decade of Dominance subset, cards 261-270 feature the 10 players considered among the best young prospect and then 271-300 feature dual players prospects. Cards numbered 301 and 302 feature Japanese imports for 2002, So Taguchi and Kazuhisa Ishii. Card number 280 was not issued upon release of this set but was scheduled for release later in the 2002 season. At season's end, it was decided by the manufacturer to NOT release this card. A few copies of this card (with a large square box cut out from Satoru Komiyama's image) erroneously made their way into packs. Due to scarcity, a value has not been established. In addition, 73 redemption cards were seeded into packs whereby the holder of the card could exchange it for an actual vintage 1986 Fleer Update Bonds XRC signed and certified by Barry himself and hand-numbered "X/73". The deadline to send this card in was April 30th, 2003. Read Less »
