The 1993 Collector's Edge football set consists of 325 standard-size cards. The production run was limited to 100,000 of each player, with each card serially numbered from 000001 to 100,000. In this year's issue, the cards were printed on heavier, 20-mil, thick plastic stock. Also this year's set added new Team Cards that depict whole-team portraits of the 28 NFL teams. The cards are numbered on the back and checklisted below according to teams. Cards 251-325 comprise the Rookie Update series. Randomly inserted in the foil packs was a factory redemption card that entitled the holder to redeem the card for a factory set, in which every card had the same serial number. The offer expired at noon on February 28, 1994. Two cards commemorating the newest expansion teams in the NFL, the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Carolina Panthers, were produced. The Panthers card, originally numbered 326, was issued very late in the pack production run. Only 4,000 of these cards were issued. The company then produced a second version of the Panthers card as well as a Jaguars card. These are numbered with an "M" prefix. The cards were available by mail and cost $3.95 with a production figure of 25,000. The purple marbleized fronts have a grey granite panel with a welcome to the new expansion team. The team logo appears in the lower right corner. Rookie Cards include Drew Bledsoe, Vincent Brisby, Reggie Brooks, Mark Brunell, Curtis Conway, Garrison Hearst, Billy Jo Hobert, Qadry Ismail, Glyn Milburn, Rick Mirer, Roosevelt Potts, Robert Smith and Dana Stubblefield.
