Inserted one in every 510 first series hobby and retail packs and one in every 140 first series HTA packs, this set is an almost complete parallel of the regular Topps set. The cards in the first series parallel cards number 1 through 201 and second series parallels cards 241-440. Card numbers 7 and 44 were never produced for this set. Each MVP Promotion parallel card has a prominent gold foil MVP logo on the front and contest rules and guidelines on back. Only 100 of each of these cards were printed and a new winner was announced each week throughout the 2000 season as Topps selected their top player of the week. Winning cards could be redeemed for a complete set of exchnage cards featuring every weekly winning player. Winning cards were verified through either calling 1-888-Go-Topps or checking on the Topps web site prior to the deadline. The exchange deadline for these cards was December 31st, 2000. The winning cards were the following numbers (in correspondence with the basic issue 2000 Topps card): 13, 15, 45, 50, 53, 55, 60, 72, 87, 90, 93, 107, 109, 116, 148, 165, 180, 199, 250, 271, 350, 395, 398, 403 and 427. Since Topps destroyed these Winner exchange cards once they received them, they're in noticeably shorter supply than other cards from this set. Despite this fact, no noticeable premiums in secondary trading levels have been detected for these cards. Read Less »
