10,000 factory sets were made of the 1992-93 Topps Archives Gold. The factory sets were sold to dealers in eight-set cases. The 150 cards comprising this set have identical player selection and numbering as the regular-issue Topps Archives set, except that the checklist cards from the regular Archives set (149 and 150) have been replaced by cards of Rumeal Robinson and Shaquille O'Neal. Like the regular-issue Archive cards, the fronts are designed to mimic the layouts of several Topps' baseball issues of the 1980s; the only differences being that the Topps Archives logo, which doesn't appear on the regular-issue set, and the player's name are stamped in gold foil. The horizontal backs, however, all have the same design, with player action photos displayed in the upper right, the NBA and Topps Archives logos to the left of the picture, and the player's name and team beneath the logos. A brief biography is printed within a red rectangle, a complete college record appears beneath within a yellow rectangle, and the player's record of his NBA rookie year on the bottom rounds out the back. Please refer to the multiplier provided below (coupled with the prices of the corresponding regular issue card) to ascertain value. Read Less »
