The 1951-52 Parkhurst set contains 105 small cards in crude color. Cards are 1 3/4" by 2 1/2". The player's name, team, card number, and 1950-51 statistics all appear on the front of the card. The backs of the cards are blank. Unopened wax packs, though rarely seen, consist of five cards. The cards feature players from each of the six NHL teams. The set numbering is basically according to teams, i.e., Montreal Canadiens (1-18), Boston Bruins (19-35), Chicago Blackhawks (36-51 and 53), Detroit Red Wings (54-69), Toronto Maple Leafs (70-88), and New York Rangers (89-105). Card #52 features a photo of one of the most famous goals in hockey history as Bill Barilko scored the Stanley Cup winning goal and then went flying into the air. The set features the first cards of hockey greats Gordie Howe and Maurice Richard.
