The 1992 Wild Card NFL set contains 460 standard-size cards issued in two series of 250 and 210 cards, respectively. It is reported that the first series production run was limited to 30,000 ten-box numbered foil cases. One hundred "case cards" and one thousand box cards were randomly inserted into the foil packs. Also cards from the Red Hot Rookie set were inserted in the packs. The first series is checklisted by teams. Subsets include Draft Picks (223-239) and League Leaders (240-245). Through a mail-in offer, the surprise card could be exchanged for a four-card cello pack featuring a P1 Barry Sanders (with first series Surprise Card 1) or P2 Emmitt Smith (with second series Surprise Card 251) Stat Smasher foil card, a Red Hot Rookie card, a Field Force card, and either a silver or gold Field Force card. Every jumbo pack included ten Series I cards, ten Series II cards, one Stat Smasher, one gold or silver foil Red Hot Rookie, and one gold or silver foil Running Wild. Rookie Cards include Edgar Bennett, Steve Bono, Terrell Buckley and Rob Johnson (his only Rookie Card). A Barry Sanders promo card was produced and distributed at the 1992 National Sports Collectors Convention.
