Released in late April 2003, Fleer Platinum boasts a 200-card set divided up into 160 base veteran cards and 40 rookie cards. Base cards feature a throw-back style base card with white borders, full color player action photography and the player's team logo in a circle in the lower right corner of the card. Platinum was packed in 19-pack boxes where the packs were divided up as follows: 14 wax packs with seven cards per pack, four jumbo packs with 20 cards per pack and one tri-pouch rack pack with 30 cards per pack. Each different pack set up had 10 rookies that were exclusive to that pack format and 10 rookies dispersed between all formats, card numbers 161-170. Cards 171-180 were only inseted in wax packs and were sequentially numbered to 750. Cards 181-190 were only inserted in jumbo packs and were sequentially numbered to 350, and cards 191-200 were only inserted in rack packs and were sequentially numbered to 250.
