Set Description: The 1988 Swell Football Greats set contains 144 standard size cards. This set was issued in 10-card packs. Each card depicts a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The fronts have blue borders and color photos. The backs are baby blue and contain each player's career highlights. This issue was distributed in wax packs of ten cards and also as a complete set. The factory-collated complete set cards are sometimes found with slight notches along the upper border; this does not seem to be the case with the cards taken from wax packs. After each player's name below is listed his year of induction into the Hall of Fame. The set includes the 1988 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees.
