Set Description: In July of 2001 Upper Deck released this base brand in both retail and hobby packs. The set consisted of 280 cards and cards 181-280 were short printed rookies. The stated odds for the rookies were 1:4 packs. The base set design had a border on only the bottom of the card where the player's name and team were represented. The cardfronts were full color action photos and were highlighted with silver-foil lettering and logo.
