Set Description: Released in mid-October 2001, this 156-card set carried an SRP of $9.99. The original 97-card base set consisted of 45 veteran cards (1-45), 42 rookie cards (46-66) and 10-exchange rookie cards (67-76). Cards 46-66 were issued in two versions, both versions were serial-numbered to 800 each the only difference between the two versions was that the images on front and back were reversed. Cards 67-76 were redeemable for rookie players who made their debut during the season, and they were serial-numbered to 500 each. Cards 77-135 were available in random packs of UD Rookie Update and cards 122-135 were serial-numbered to 900 each. Cards 136-141 were available by redeeming cards TR1-TR6 of the Rookie Redemption set; they were serial-numbered to just 100 copies each.
