Together with the 1992 Pro Line Portraits, this 495-card standard-size set constitutes the bulk of the 1992 ProLine issue. This Profiles set consists of nine-card mini-biographies on 55 of the NFL's most well-known personalities. Each set chronicles the player's career from his days in college to the present day, including his life off of the football field. Each Pro Line pack contained nine Profiles and three Portraits cards, and Quarterback Gold cards were randomly inserted throughout the packs. The fronts display full-bleed color photos, and the fifth card in each subset features a color portrait by a noted sports artist. The text on the backs captures moments from the player's career or life, including quotes from the player himself. The set concludes with a ten-card Art Monk bonus set, which was available through a mail-in offer in exchange for ten 1991 ProLine Portraits wrappers (black) and ten 1992 ProLine wrappers (white). The cards in each subset are numbered "X of 9." A special boxed set, with the cards displayed in two notebooks, was distributed at the National. These cards differ from the regular series in two respects, the cards are unnumbered (except within nine-card subsets) and are stamped with a "The National, 1992" seal.
