Set Description: This 200-card set was released in two separate series. The primary Diamond Kings product - containing cards 1-176 from the basic set - was issued in March, 2003. These cards were issued in five card packs with an $4 SRP. These packs came 24 packs to a box and 20 boxes to a case. Cards numbered 151 through 158 feature some of the leading rookie prospects and those cards were issued at a stated rate of one in six. Cards numbered 159 through 175 feature retired greats and those cards were also issued at a stated rate of one in six. Card number 176 features Cuban refugee Jose Contreras who was signed to a free agent contract before the 2003 season began. The Contreras card was not on the original checklist and is believed to be considerably scarcer than other RC's from the first series set. Cards 177-189/191-201 were distributed at a rate of 1:24 packs of DLP Rookies and Traded in December, 2003. Please note, card 190 does not exist.
