Set Description: Playoff Contenders initially released in mid-January 2005 and was once-again one of the most popular releases of the 2004 season. The base set consists of 200-cards including 100-autographed rookie cards. While the signed cards are not serial numbered this year, Playoff did publicly announce print runs on many of the cards as noted below. Hobby boxes contained 24-packs of 4-cards and carried an S.R.P. of $6 per pack. Two parallel sets and a variety of inserts can be found seeded in packs highlighted by the Legendary Contenders Autographs, the MVP Contenders Autographs, and the ROY Contenders Autograph inserts.
