Set Description: Fleer Hot Prospects initially released in early August 2004. The base set consists of 112-cards including 24-jersey autographed rookie cards, 8-jersey rookie cards, and 10-rookies serial numbered of 1000. Hobby boxes contained 15-packs of 5-cards and carried an S.R.P. of $7.99 per pack while retail boxes contained 24-packs of 5-cards and carried an S.R.P. of $2.99. Two parallel sets and a variety of inserts can be found seeded in hobby and retail packs highlighted by the Notable Notations Autograph inserts. Some signed cards were issued via mail-in exchange or redemption cards. Card #92 Luke McCown was one of those exchange cards in packs, but the live card was never released.
