Set Description: Showcase released in early June of 2004 and was Fleer's second football product of the year. The base set consists of 149-cards including 100-veterans and 48-rookies each serial numbered to 599. Hobby box included 20-packs with 5-cards per pack at an SRP of $6.50 and retail boxes contained 24-packs of 4-cards with an SRP of $2.99. Card #150, Mike Williams, was initially pulled from the pack-out after he was declared ineligible for the NFL Draft. Copies of the card hit the secondary in late 2005, however, after the Fleer inventory liquidation sale took place. Due to the unigue distribution of the card, it is not considered a Rookie Card. Two parallel sets and a large section of inserts with a variety of game-used versions can be found seeded in packs. Insert highlights include Sweet Sigs autographs produced in three foil colors and Feature Film with each card produced with an original photographic slide.
