Set Description: This 330-card set was released in November, 2006. This set was issued in 12-card packs with an $2 SRP and those packs came 36 to a box and 12 boxes to a case. The first 132 cards in this set feature players who were either new to their team in 2006 or made an unexpected impact and were not in the first two Topps series. Cards numbered 133-170 feature 2006 Rookies while cards numbered 171-181 are Season Highlights. Cards number 182-201 are a Postseason Highlight subset, cards 202-217 are an League Leader subset while cards 218-282 form an All-Star subset. Cards numbered 283-290 celebrate players who participated in the Home Run Derby, cards 291-320 were Team Leader cards and the set concluded with Classic Duos (321-330). Cory Lidle, who perished in a plane crash while this set was in production, was issued as an "in memoriam" card.
