Set Description: This 191 card set was released in June, 2004. The set was issued in five card packs with an $5 SRP which came 24 packs to a box and 12 boxes to a case. Cards numbered 1 through 90 featured veterans while cards numbered 91 through 132 and 178 through 191 feature rookies.With the exception of card 180, there were parallel versions issued of these cards and those cards all begin their serial numbering with 296. Card number 180 featuring Kazuo Matsui has a straight serial print run of card 1 through 999. Cards numbered 133 through 177 feature a mix of active and retired players with All-Star game memories and those cards were inserted at a stated rate of one in 24 with a stated print run of 999 serial numbered sets.
