Set Description: The 1995-96 Ultra set was issued in two series of 200 and 150 for a total of 350 standard-size cards. They were issued in 12-card hobby and retail packs (SRP $2.49) in addition to 17-card pre-priced packs (SRP $2.99). Each 12-card pack contains two insert cards and one in every 72 packs contains nothing but insert cards (referred to as a "Hot Pack"). Fleer upgraded the stock of the 1995-96 cards by making them 40% thicker than the previous year's Ultra release. The fronts have a full-color action photo with the player's name and team at the bottom in gold-foil. The backs have two-color photos and one full black-and-white with statistics at the bottom. The basic issue cards are grouped alphabetically within teams and checklisted below alphabetically according to city. Subsets featured are Rookies (263-298) and Encore (299-348). Rookie Cards of note in this set include Michael Finley, Kevin Garnett, Antonio McDyess, Joe Smith, Jerry Stackhouse and Damon Stoudamire.
