Set Description: This 22-card standard-size set was released by Little Sun of Monrovia, California, to commemorate the John R. Wooden Award. Only 28,000 sets were produced, and the set number is given on the certification card. The set is accompanied by a deluxe card album with two-up plastic sheets to house the cards. The cards chronicle the career of John Wooden and feature all 14 winners (in their college uniforms) of college basketball's most prestigious award. With the exception of some early black and white Wooden photos, the fronts feature borderless color player photos. Each picture is bordered on the left side by a gray stripe, with the Little Sun logo superimposed at the top. A lavender stripe traverses the bottom of the card face and gives a title for that card. The backs have biographical information and full close-ups of each player printed in a blue Mezzo-tint process. John Wooden also signed a select number of card number 1. That price is listed at the bottom of the set and is numbered as "AU1" to not confuse the two cards. It is not considered part of the set.
