Set Description: This set of 50 mini-trading cards was a sports promotion in Canada involving SkyBox and Hostess/Frito Lay. The miniature cards measure 1 1/4" by 1 3/4,". One card was inserted into each specially marked bag of Hostess/Frito Lay products, including Doritos, Ruffles, Cheetos, O'Ryans, and Hostess. It was claimed that nine out of every ten bags contained a card, and in the event that the consumer purchased a bag without a card, a card could be obtained without charge through a mail-in offer. The promotion ran January 20 through March, and was supported by colorful displays at more than 75,000 locations in Canada as well as televisions ads. The card design was identical to the regular issue, with the exception that the backs feature bilingual information.
