Set Description: There are 221 different players in this 1962 set of plastic baseball coins marketed in Canada by Shirriff Potato Chips. The set is very similar to the American Salada coin set except for the printing on the reverse of the coin and the relative scarcitites of the coins in the set. Since the Shirriff coins were produced after the Salada coins, there are not the many gradations of scarcities and variations as in the Salada set. Each plastic coin measures approximately 1 3/8" in diameter. The "coin" itself is made of one-color plastic (light or dark) blue, black, orange, red or white) which has a color portrait printed on paper inserted into the obverse surface.
