Set Description: The 1999 Donruss Elite set was issued in one series totalling 200 cards. The fronts feature action color player photos with player information on the backs. Cards 1-100 were printed on foil board and were inserted four cards per pack. Cards 101-200, which includes 40 short-printed rookies, were printed on micro-etched foil cards and inserted one per pack. Two die-cut parallel sets were produced. Donruss Elite Status cards were sequentially numbered to the featured player's jersey number, and the Donruss Elite Aspirations cards were sequentially numbered to the remaining number out of 100.
