Set Description:
The 1951 Topps Ringside boxing set is the most recent nationally-issued set devoted exclusively to both boxers and wrestlers, although wrestlers comprised just a small part of the set. Cards are 2 1/16" by 2 15/16". The cards are sometimes seen in connected (perforated) pairs. The second series cards (49-96) are somewhat more difficult to obtain than the first series (1-48). Many collectors consider card #49 to be the scarcest card in the set. In addition, it seems that numbers 55, 61 and 89 are harder to find as well. Aesthetically, this set ranks near the top of boxing card sets.
