Set Description: 2001 Quantum Leaf was initially released as a 260-card base set containing 200 veteran cards and 60 rookie subset cards seeded at one in two packs with an assortment of short-printed rookies seeded at 1:720 packs. The base veteran cards feature full color player photos set a against a blue background with silver glitter highlights. Some collectors have reported that the veterans can sometimes be found missing this silver glitter. The rookie subset cards follow the same basic format but are enhanced with gold foil of the draft team and round drafted, and a silver holographic fractal background. Later in the season, card numbers 261-290 were issued as part of a wrapper redemption (24-wrappers plus $6.99). Quantum Leaf was packaged in boxes containing 24-packs of five cards per pack which carried a suggested retail price of $2.99.
