Set Description: The 1997 Collector's Edge Masters set was issued in one series totaling 270 cards and was distributed in six-card packs with a suggested retail price of $3.49. The set contains color photos of 240 top players in the NFL printed on metalized card stock, for the hobby version, with silver texture or regular white paper stock, for the retail version, plus 30 team flag cards which were inserted randomly at the rate of one every three packs. A collector could send in the Flag Card for either Green Bay or New England plus one Flag Card for each opponent beaten by these teams during the regular and post-season (one Flag Card per game) and receive a foil stamped limited edition team set of the Packers or the Patriots.
