This 200-card set was produced in three different print runs. It was distributed in four different factory sets. The "tin box" set was sold by Maxx through a mail order offer for $29.95, and contains cards from the first printing. The cards from these sets have a glossy finish. The second of the sets was the white box Hobby set distributed to authorized Maxx dealers containing cards from the first printing. The third of the sets was the red/white box Hobby set which contains cards from the second printing. In the second printing four error cards were corrected: number 8 Bobby Hillin, number 28 Davey Allison, number 39 Kirk Shelmerdine, and number 97 Chuck Bown. The fourth of these sets was the red/yellow Hobby set which contains cards from the third printing. In the third printing three error cards were corrected:number 13 Mickey Gibbs, number 69 Checklist, and number 85 Larry McClure. Cards from all three printings of this set were also distributed in wax packs. The packs are distinguishable by the lettering on the bottom of them. Packs from the first printing have white lettering, packs from the second printing have black lettering, and packs form the third printing also have black lettering and have the roman numeral three under the lettering.
