This 180-card set attempts to capture what a Parkhurst set might have looked like had one been produced for the 1956-57 NHL campaign. Although the inclusion of all six original teams may seem somewhat anachronistic (keeping in mind that Parkhurst, at that time, issued cards featuring Canadian-based players only) the set does capture the old-time flavor. The simple design includes an isolated player photo (taken during the 1955-56 season) over a cream colored background. A black bar runs along the left side of the card front, and contains the player name and team logo. Card backs include stats for the 1955-56 season and biographical information in both French and English. Subsets include All-Stars (135-146), Trophy Winners (147-152), Action Shots (153-168), Team Leaders (169-174) and Playoffs (175-178). The set was issued in 10-card wax packs and production was limited to 1956 numbered cases for each of the Canadian and American markets.
