Set Description: Greats of the Game was produced by Fleer and initially released in mid-December 2004. The base set consists of 86-cards including 20-rookies serial numbered to 999 at the end of the set. Note that cards #35, 39, and 41 reportedly were not produced but a few copies of each appeared on the market after Fleer ceased operations. Hobby boxes contained 15-packs of 5-cards each while retail boxes contained 20-packs of 4-cards each. One parallel set and a variety of inserts can be found seeded in hobby and retail packs highlighted by one of the most popular insert sets of the year -- Gold Border Autographs.
