Set Description:
This 494-card set was released in February, 2006. This set, using the same design as the 1957 Topps baseball set, was issued in eight-card hobby and retail packs, both with an $3 SRP which came 24 packs to a box and eight boxes to a case. Card number 297, which was intended to be Alex Gordon had to be pulled from production as there was no approval to print that card as he had yet to particpate in a major league game. In addition, cards numbered 265-352, with the curious exception of card #329 were short printed similar to the original 1957 Topps set in which those cards were issued in shorter quantities than the rest of the 57 set, A few variation and short prints were scattered around the rest of the set.
