Set Description: Card fronts of this 396-card standard-size set contained the player's name and position (bilingual text) in a hockey puck on the lower right of the front. Unlike the Topps set of this year, the puck was not issued with a black scratch-off covering. The team name was listed to the left of the puck. The cards were originally sold in 10-card 20-cent wax packs. Bilingual backs featured a short list of career milestones, 1979-80 season and career statistics along with short trivia comments. Members of the U.S. Olympic hockey team (USA in checklist below) were honored with the USA hockey emblem on the card front. Beware when purchasing the cards of Ray Bourque and Mark Messier as they have been counterfeited.
