Set Description: This 200 card set was issued in late winter, 2002. This set was distributed in four card packs with an SRP of $3 which were sent in 24 packs to a box with 20 boxes to a case. Cards numbered from 151-200, which were inserted at a stated rate of one in six, featured 50 of the leading rookie prospects entering the 2002 season. Card number 42, which Leaf had previously retired in honor of Jackie Robinson, was originally intended to feature a short-print card honoring the sensational rookie season of Ichiro Suzuki. However, Leaf decided to continue honoring Robinson and never went through with printing card 42. Cards numbered 201 and 202 feature Japanese imports So Taguchi and Kazuhisa Ishii, both of which were short-printed in relation to the other prospect cards 151-200. The cards production runs were announced by the manufacturer as 250 copies for Ishii and 500 for Taguchi.
