Set Description: This 548 card set was distributed in two separate series. The primary Team Heroes product - containing cards 1-540 from the basic set - was released very late in December, 2002. These cards were issued in 13 card packs with an SRP of $3 per pack. This product was issued in 24 pack boxes which came 20 boxes to a case. Several great players, were issued as members of two or more different teams. Update cards 541-548 were distributed as commonly available cards within packs of 2003 DLP Rookies and Traded of which was released in December, 2003. Due to a problem in production, these update cards feature a glossy sheen, differentiating them from the remaining 540 cards within the basic set. Furthermore, they may be confused with the Team Heroes Glossy parallel cards of which were issued as random inserts in basic Team Heroes packs.
