Set Description: This 309 card set was issued in two separate releases. The primary Donruss Champions product - containing cards 1-301 within the basic set - was released in April, 2003. The set was issued in eight card packs with an $5 SRP. These packs were issued in 24 pack boxes which came 20 boxes to a case. This primary set was originally supposed to be capped at 300 cards but a late addition of Hideki Matsui (card number 301) brought the complete set to 301 cards. In December, 2003, eight additional cards (302-309) were seeded within packs of DLP Rookies and Traded.
