Set Description: This product was distributed in late February, 2000 exclusively in retail outlets. Five card packs carried an SRP of $2.99. The attractive 90-card set, featuring a selection of the best current and retired hitters in baseball, contains the following subsets: Why3K (51-72) and Hitting the Show (73-89). Ken Griffey Jr is featured on the checklist (card 90) to close out the set. Also, a selection of A Piece of History 3000 Club Wade Boggs and Tony Gwynn memorabilia cards were randomly seeded into packs. 350 bat cards and fifty hand-numbered, combination bat chip-baseball cap cards for each player were produced. In addition, ninety-nine hand-numbered cards featuring bat chips from both Boggs and Gwynn were produced. Also, twelve hand-numbered, autographed Wade Boggs bat cards and nineteen hand-numbered, autographed Tony Gwynn bat cards were produced.
