Set Description: The 1996 Upper Deck Road To The Cup set was issued in one series totalling 150 cards. The 12-card packs had a suggested retail of $1.99 each. The set contains the topical subsets: Drivers (RC1-RC50), Screamin' Steel (RC51-RC90), Changin' Gears (RC91-RC120), Award Winner (RC121-RC135), Truckin' 96 (RC136-RC145) and Role Models (RC146-RC150). It is the first Upper Deck set to include Dale Earnhardt. In honor getting Dale inked Upper Deck went back and made a number 301 card for its 1995 Upper Deck set. The card was seeded one in 95 packs. Also, they produced a Dale Earnhardt Tribute Card. This card was randomly inserted one in 190 packs. There is also a single insert of a Jeff Gordon Commemorative card. This card was inserted one in 72 packs and features 2-D technology.
