The 1995-96 Hoops basketball set was issued in two series of 250 and 150 standard-size cards respectively for a total of 400. Series one cards were issued in 12-card hobby and retail packs (SRP $1.29) and 20-card retail jumbo packs (SRP $1.99). Series two cards were issued in 8-card hobby and retail packs for $.99 each. Fronts have a full-color action photo with the player's name in gold foil surrounded by his team's color. The backs have a color photo with pro and college career statitistics. Cards are grouped alphabetically within teams. The following subsets are featured: Coaches (171-197), Sizzlin' Sophs (198-207), Milestones (208-217), Buzzer Beaters (218-227), Pipeline (228-232), Class Acts (233-242), Triple Threats (243-247), Player/Coach Updates (291-333), Coaches (334-337), Expansion Teams (338-357), Earthshakers (358-372), Rock/House (373-387) and Wicked Dishes (388-397). A special Grant Hill Tribute card, featuring a clear acetate center, was randomly inserted into one in every 360 series one packs. All insert cards feature 3-D technology. A pair of Grant Hill 3-D glasses was available by sending in two first series wrappers and a check or money order for $3.50. In addition, a limited edition Grant Hill Commemorative Co-Rookie of the Year card was available by sending in a check or money order for $9.95 plus two series one wrappers. Both promotions were detailed on first series wrappers and both expired December 31, 1995. Rookie Cards of note in this set include Michael Finley, Kevin Garnett, Antonio McDyess, Joe Smith, Jerry Stackhouse and Damon Stoudamire.
