Set Description: Released in October 2003 and marketed as two brands in one pack, Bowman and Bowman Chrome cards shared the same packs and boxes. The Bowman version features a 156-card set divided up into 110 base veteran cards with a red border around a centered picture surrounded by silver borders on the left and right and black borders on the top and the bottom. Cards 111-147 feature rookie players and have a blue border around their pictures and share the rest of the design elements with the base cards. Cards 148-157 are autographed rookie cards sequentially numbered to 250. Upon issue, card number 147 was not released. Bowman was packaged in 24-pack boxes with packs containing seven cards, four Bowman cards, four Bowman Chrome Cards and one Parallel, and carried a suggested retail price of $4.
