Set Description: Randomly inserted in packs, this 100-card set features the rookie crop of players expected to carry the NFL into the 21st century. Each card is sequentially numbered to 500 since they were to be considered a variation on the base RCs, but just the first 50 serial numbered cards were actually signed. Some cards were issued in packs as mail redemptions which carried an expiration date of May 1, 2003. Finally, several players did not ultimately sign for the set so those cards were either issued with "no autograph" printed on the fronts. The Michael Vick card was never officially issued and his exchange card was generally redeemed for signed cards of othe rplayers. However, some unsigned copies made their way to the market with the appropriate die cut shape and set name on the front.
