Set Description: This set consists of 225 standard-size cards. According to Upper Deck, production was limited to 4,015 numbered cases. Special subsets featured are Off The Wire (1-18), All-Time Heroes (101-125), Diamond Legends (151-177), and Heroes of Baseball (208-224). Mickey Mantle and three other superstars (Reggie Jackson, Tom Seaver, and George Brett) each autographed 1,000 cards that were randomly inserted into packs. (Nolan Ryan had been expected to sign cards for this product but did not. Instead, Brett signed an additional 1,000 cards). According to Upper Deck, a signed card would be found in one of every 385 packs. A Reggie Jackson Promo card was distributed to dealers and hobby media to preview the set.
